Shipping your personal belongings to or from the UK?

We can offer you advice on the best method of transportation, packing and transit insurance. Fast quotation service either by phone or if you complete the online quotation form.

Students

We have cost-effective, money saving advice for students wishing to ship their belongings to/from home. Contact us for more details.

Air Security

There are various restrictions on items that may be sent by air. For these reasons, belongings are subject to hand searching or x-raying by trained security personnel. Please contact us for further information regarding security measures.

Packing/Supply of Boxes

We can supply cardboard boxes to help with your move:

61 x 61 x 61 cm   £3.50 each
46 x 46 x 46 cm   £2.50 each
Other cardboard box sizes available if required.

For larger consignments we can arrange either wooden crating or packing onto pallets. Cost to pack onto pallets is £15 per pallet. This includes cost of pallet, shrink wrapping, steel banding and labelling.

Volumetric Conversion

Please note airlines will charge us based on the volume if greater than the weight. The way to work out this is to multiply the dimensions in centimetres. Multiply length by width by height and divide by 6000.

Example:

For a box that is 100 x 100 x 100 cm - divide by 6000 = volumetric weight 167 kg.
If actual weight is less than this, we will be charged on the volumetric weight.
If actual weight is higher than this then we are charged on the higher weight.

Documentation required

  • Full delivery address with contact name and telephone number
  • Full list of contents
  • Value for customs purposes only

State if new or used - usually personal belongings that you have owned for over six months avoid payment of taxes, but this will depend on country of destination
